Swings

The swing used to be my favorite playground thing when I was a child, and even until now, I can never say “no” to a swing every time I passed it. A few minutes ago, I sat on a swing, and I realized that life is just one big swing.

From the moment of our birth, we have had our own ups and downs; we have smiled and cried; experienced the best and the worst; sometimes we spend it with friends and other times we’d be alone; we’d look up to the skies in wonder and look down to the grass and ponder. There are moments when we want to be different and stand on the seat and dare ourselves to jump for the heck of it, but most of time, we’re simply content with our feet planted to the ground.

Nowadays, though, there is one thing people forget about swings. It’s that we were meant to enjoy it.
