There’s a thin line between enthusiasm, and obsession. One is an assumption of society, and the other is an internal urge to do what you love.
The reason why not many of us are enthusiastic is because of FEAR. Of rejection, of ignorance. But by showing our true passion to the world, we bare ourselves naked in front of others, and that is when we experience loneliness. Because we exclude ourselves, back away from the people who don’t feel enthusiasm for the same thing. Because they don’t understand you.
Enthusiasm enlightens our hearts and strikes fire into our souls, like what a match does to a rough surface.
The fire burns bright in that thin wooden stick. Little do we know that the wood is dying inside, hiding the black ashes that came along with the fire. It pumps us with adrenaline and excitement and happiness – feelings that we rarely experience in these days. Little do we know that it’s simply to hide the loneliness that came with it.
